About RBT HQ

RBT HQ is an independent site. RBT HQ publishes free Registered Behavior Technician exam-prep resources — practice quizzes and plain-language study guides built from the RBT Task List and the BACB's published exam content outline.

What this site is

Free tools and plain-spoken guides on one subject, done properly. Every guide exists to answer a real question with specific, checkable information — the number, the rule, the actual cost — not to pad out a search result with 2,000 words that never get to the point.

How we work

We read the primary sources: the published exam outlines, the federal and state regulations, the manufacturer specs, the industry cost surveys. When we cite a figure, we link where it came from so you can check it yourself. We build and test the tools on this site ourselves.

Where we don't have first-hand expertise, we say so and show our research rather than pretending. See our editorial policy for how that works in practice, including how we use AI.

How we make money

Everything here is free. There's nothing to buy. The site is paid for by advertising on these pages, and by affiliate commissions on products we recommend in our emails. Neither changes what we tell you — the full disclosure is here.
